Court Support :: For individuals in the Family
Court
The Divorce
Coach teaches clients how to deal with a courtroom appearance
in the Family Court. A court appearance is a very important
step in the divorce process and being prepared increases the
chances of being successful in
litigation.
The
Divorce Coach has provided successful court support for clients
in many cases and says
“many people feel confident because they know they are
‘right’. However, the other
side will
also be confident about being ‘right’. It is the judge who
has the task of deciding
who is
‘most right’ based on the facts that are in front of the
court”. In
our experience,
many people
are thrown by cross-examination which incurs doubt with the
judge. Lawyers prepare the legal case,
but do not train to help clients prepare emotionally, or
help clients put the case behind them
afterwards.”
The Divorce Coach teaches
techniques well in advance of the court date to make the
experience more comfortable
including:-
- Preparation about court
procedure.
- Preparation about the court
staff.
- Techniques to manage emotions before,
during and after the case.
Teaching
is focused on the personal experience in court, but also how an
individual and their family is affected by appearing in court
and how to cope with the court process.
The
advantages of court support are:
-
To the individual:
Reduced anxiety.
Increased control.
More prepared for court
appearance.
Able to “perform” better on the
day.
Know how to get there and what to
expect. Opportunity to ask
questions.
